Design is at the heart of all applications developed by Bunch Consulting.
Proper design allows an application to respond properly to unanticipated scenarios,
secures information, reduces side-effects of upgrades, and ensures reliability.
Bunch Consulting began as a sole proprietorship in 1999, originally working on
converting an EDI system from a DOS based interface into a Windows based application
to beat the Y2K deadline.
Since becoming incorporated on July 1, 2003 we have developed several applications in the
engineering, pigging (pipeline), and trucking industries among others.
Our process includes*
Requirements gathering phase
A question and answer phase define the details of the requirements and discuss what-if scenarios which may come up in the usage of the application
Creating a timeline for development, test, and payment schedules
The database or data source definitions are developed
A rough-draft user interface is developed
Feedback about the look and feel of the application is requested
Any changes requested are applied and the interface can be reviewed (this phase repeats until you are satisfied with the results)
The data layer is connected to the user interface to allow a demo of the product
A demo version of the application is available for review for a certain period based on the timeline
If any bugs are found within the demo review they are corrected and the testing process restarts
Final payment is due once the testing is completed
The production version is released once final payment has been processed
In the event of a bug the application will be fixed in a timely manner and at the same rate as the original contract, flat-fee project will incur no additional fees
* Some projects may have a slightly different set of phases based on the type of application being developed
